Publishing groups react to end of Saturday mail delivery The U.S. Postal Service announced Wednesday that it would end Saturday mail delivery as a cost-cutting measure, which came as unwelcome news to associations whose members rely on the service. In a statement, MPA-The Association of Magazine Media said consumer magazines could be among the most affected by the decision. "Like Congress, MPA was taken by surprise by today's announcement," it said.
